PITSS awarded an Oracle Forms upgrade project at Government of Canary Islands - Gobierno de Canarias

Santa Cruz de Tenerife ( Canary Islands ), 2nd  October 2009 –The Government of the Canary Islands ( Gobierno de Canarias ) takes decision to upgrade their Oracle Forms based application from Forms 6 client server to Web Forms 10g by using the solution PITSS.CON. At the end of a tender process the innovative solution PITSS.CON from the international acting Forms specialist PITSS GmbH has been awarded to realize the Forms upgrade project based on the solution PITSS.CON.

During a two day analyses workshop in total 1.200 fmb files have been fully analysed according to the upgrade requirements of an web enabled application provided with Oracle Forms 10g. Based on this exact analyses, the upgrade process for the whole Forms application incl. Reports was successfully performed during an only 8 day on-site session using PITSS.CON automatized upgrade features. Compared to any other upgrade approach of a manual or semi-manual migration path, the savings during the PITSS.CON supported upgrade process have been estimated between 6-8 month savings in project time and therefore multiple ten-thousand of Euros project efforts.
