The
ALL-IN-ONE-MANAGER for ORACLE FORMS
PITSS.CON is the universal development tool
for an efficient analysis, migration and maintenance of Oracle Forms
applications.
PITSS.CON allows you to transfer to a 3-tier
architecture and to take advantage of all
the added functionality, by bringing your
company online.
In this way, PITSS.CON becomes an elementary
development tool for your FORMS applications:
from software management and analysis to
targeted program editing. The almost complete
automation of all processes minimizes manual
error risks and makes development projects
much more cost-effective. This tool is officially
recommended and used by ORACLE. |

An
upgrade to FORMS 10g, for example,
that is performed using PITSS.CON
takes only 2 - 4 days on
average for all FORMS versions (3, 4.5,
5, 6CS, 6i, 9i).
The PITSS.CON Migration Assistant
analyses all objects that are affected by the FORMS application
and performs a fully-automated migration,
creating a correct and functional FORMS version 10g.
Any manual subsequent work necessary is
often implemented within a few days.
Let us analyse
your FORMS application free of charge in the PITSS MIGRATION
LAB and make you
an unbeatable offer for a "fixed-price
migration".

By
using PITSS.CON you will save a good
deal of time when maintaining and
developing
your FORMS applications. The maintenance
and development components of PITSS.CON enable
complex applications to be read in, analysed
and edited. The focus lies on Oracle Forms and offers
Forms developers
previously unheard-of editing possibilities.
To do this, PITSS.CON breaks all programs
down into
their smallest components. These enable
developers to use these values to
access the properties
and ultimately the objects or their
programs..
A customer can,
for example, implement a table field extension using PITSS.CON
in an application of
two database instances, 800 forms and 2,000
SQL programs in a few days. Compare this with the
estimated manual effort of some 100 man
days!
The Oracle database belonging to Forms
is read in with all source-carrying objects and is also
integrated into the PITSS.CON development
process.
The Zoom
module enables a Forms program,
together with all objects in its coordinate
system and
page ratios to
be enlarged.
Migrating a
screen resolution of 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 for 1,000 forms,
for example, takes just a
few hours. |

Application
Impact is based on numerous analysis procedures that are based
on the PITSS.CON
repository. All programs stored in ASCII
formats, such as Java, HTML, C++ and so on, are taken
into account.
Within the SQL source, Application
Impact facilitates the tracking of variables, parameters and
arguments and is thus able to calculate
and display a table field listing variable assignment and
function which
calls right through to further SQL
operations.
PITSS.CON therefore
includes functions that previously were found only in analysis
tools such as
CAST or Quest. PITSS.CON enables the result
of an analysis to be used as the basis for further
editing stages by using separate editors
from the analysis to branch directly into the source.

With
PITSS.CON, Forms applications can be managed through a high
level of automation into dynamic
multi-lingualism. To do this, all hard-coded
texts are extracted from the programs that can appear on
the interface and stored in separate tables.
From this new table structure, these texts can be
administered easily and / or transferred
into any desired language..
The
provision of multi-language takes
around 1 - 2 days with PITSS.CON and
increases the efficiency
by around 80 % compared with static methods.

"Version
Control" is used for the general version management of
all file types. Standard functionalities,
such as CHECK IN / CHECK OUT, GET LATEST
VERSION, etc., have been supplemented through the
addition of many other functions which
make it easier to work with ORACLE object types and,
particularly, with PITSS.CON.
The Version
Control module is an component of PITSS.CON. It can either
be installed as a standalone
application or embedded seamlessly within
the PITSS.CON installation. |

PITSS.CON
is a tool that builds on Oracle technology. As a Forms application
in combination with
the Oracle database, PITSS.CON is able
to edit large, complex applications brilliantly.
The core of PITSS.CON is its own repository
which, thanks to a powerful interface, can read in
virtually any type of source code. The
repository offers functions that are similar to the ORACLE
Designer, but with greater focus on the
development process. |
