The Version Control module is an optional component of PITSS.CON. It can either be installed as a standalone application or embedded seamlessly within the PITSS.CON installation.

It is a user-friendly version management tool that works with all types of file. Standard functionalities, such as CHECK IN / CHECK OUT, GET LATEST VERSION, etc., have been supplemented through the addition of many other functions which make it easier to work with ORACLE object types and, particularly, with PITSS.CON:

- create hierarchical project structures at depths defined by the user

- define users with individual, project-based rights assignment
This enables the Version Control User to be assigned exclusively to a single PITSS.CON user.

- files or whole projects copied quickly within the DB tables

- files and project blocked and released without Check Out

- Check Out to the, Check In from the application server, client, PITSS.CON repository

- load whole projects to the PITSS.CON repository without Check Out
(e.g. for analysis in the Application Impact module)

- document all version stages and show the file history in detail

- Check In all of a folder's files in a single step
