The new PITSS.CON Release 7: Modular and even more Features

Oracle Forms has been used in large and complex IT systems for many years like no other programming language. Due to this complexity, stressful challenges costing time and money are not unusual. PITSS.CON comes to the fore here, a company that has being pursuing the objective of supporting developers and users of Forms applications optimally in their work. Thanks to the use of PITSS.CON, numerous Forms customers have saved time, money and fiddly debugging. The new PITSS.CON Release 7 now offers modularity and can therefore be introduced cost-optimised for a targeted development project. Depending on requirements and budget, the Forms user can extend his PITSS.CON, allowing him to overcome new challenges. PITSS.CON extended Forms2SOA last year and a further powerful module is expected for the next release with Forms2ADF.

The modular structure of PITSS.CON will continue to accompany you with even more customised solutions to handling your forms. You choose precisely the modules that support you optimally for your tasks and problems. No matter whether it involves quality assurance regarding the development process, multilingual functionality for an Italian partner company or an analysis of your application for accurately determining reengineering steps. Ascertain the components describing your business process, transfer this process to the database and save this in a neat, new structure that is SOA-compatible and undergoes integration in your company environment in BPEL or the Enterprise Service Bus ESB.

During our road-show series last year with Oracle Forms2SOA, we already showed how an Oracle Forms application can be transformed into a modern open architecture which is remarkable in overcoming the challenges of today's requirements. The recognition, documentation and processing of the sometimes forgotten forms of your own business logic is the most efficient route into a new technology. At the same time, Forms2SOA is the reengineering process which reduces your application in scope to core processes, while ascertaining and separating usable components. No other development stage so drastically minimises the risks involved in a technology change, while representing an actual modernisation at the same time.

The new PITSS.CON Release 7 now provides the unique module PITSS.CON Application Engineering for this. This functional extension of an impact analysis makes it possible to track the complete business flow of an application. Application Engineering is now used to completely transfer the business logic to the database. This thereby establishes the conditions for a smooth and, above all, low-risk transition to the Java world and ensures an improved interaction of system landscapes by standards such as BPEL.

Further PITSS.CON modules will open up the environment of ADF and APEX for you in the next release, providing you with answers which extend well beyond the creation of graphic user interfaces. Here you will find the support that is necessary to create a new, easy-to-manage application, in which the investments of previous years are secured and in which both the graphic user interface as well as the company-critical business logic receive appropriate consideration.
