Today ERP systems belong to standard IT equipment even of small and medium sized business. Very often there is a wide range of sub systems e.g. MES, HR, producing a big amount of data too.
But what are the needed informations? How to extract efficiently? How to get the consistent view of all information to assess overall business performance?
There is a not manageable amount of Excel sheets, where information is manipulated, whether timely nor consistent and consequently not reliable.
The answer is - Business Intelligence.
Business Intelligence employs collection, integration, analysis, interpretation and presentation of business information. The purpose of BI is to provide informations for business decision making - operational and strategic, to optimize business processes, to make business relations more profitable, to reduce costs and increase added value.
